Do it yourself--No good ever comes of this....

Reminds me of the time I was living in Wisconsin, & a neighbor tried to build a do-it-your-self combination snowmobile/go-cart in his garage.

That blew up too.

Post your actual/worst case scenario disaster-it-your-self schemes here!

We painted my mom’s house… 3 different colors for the livingroom, 2 different colors for one of the bathrooms, and every time the livingroom color changed, we had to buy a different color for the kitchen. We spent about 2 months painting

I built my own garage, except for pouring the cement slab.

Its one of those steel buildings. Came with an “erection manual” (I still chuckle about that!) in a language that resembled english. Of course, I never read directions anyway.

Made quite a few errors. It has some crooked areas and unlevel spots. I got the panels overlapping incorrectly on the walls and screwed up the insulation on the roof.

BUT it doesn’t leak in the rain and stands up to the constant gale-force winds we have out here, holds nearly all my shit (will fit 8 cars and 10 motorcycles plus has a 800 sq ft shop area full of tools, equipment and pinball games) and looks pretty damn good from 100 yards away! And it cost about the same as a standard 2 car framed-in garage.

I’ll never do it again, but I’m glad I did it once!

Why are the same people who complain that artists “sell out” the ones downloading their work for free?

Forgot to add that I nearly destroyed my right hand/arm/shoulder from 1000’s of self-tapping metal screws and using the using the wrong tool for the first part of the job.

It’s gotten better over the last couple years, but playing darts seems to aggravate it. Damn the bad luck!

Why do the artists that bitch the loudest about free downloading get so much radio airplay?
