I’ve learned that U.S. Marines don’t have medics with them, but Navy Corpsmen who serve the same function. So do they call “Corpsman” or stick with “Medic” since everyone knows what it means anyway?
Yes Marines yell corpsman.
Both branches also use the nickname “Doc.” All Docs are medics, not all medics are Doc.
As an aside, Navy Corpsmen train with the the Marine unit in which they are embedded and are considered a valuable asset to that unit.
