Are you saying that someone actually did this to your mom? Could she do *69 to find out who it was? Kids being prankster shitheads or someone who really has it in for her? Holy fuck, that’s cruel.
Even if she doesn’t have Caller ID, she should report it to the police. The phone company can find out who made the call.
Someone did that to my aunt several years ago, too ---- complete with the sound of a woman screaming in the background. Sick as hell.
She changed her phone number to an unlisted number.
We don’t have caller ID, which sucks. She did call the police. Then she called the police in my town when she couldn’t get a hold of me, and they called campus security, and security tried to find me, and when I got to my room I found that they had unlocked it in an effort to find me (embarassment to insult, it’s messy) and then I had to call her and calm her down, and call security to calm them down. All because some fucker wanted to get his jollies off an innocent woman.
Fuckers. I hope they rot in hell.

Someone once called me and said, “If you ever want to see your wife again…” I can’t remember clearly what was said after that, as I was too confused to listen carefully. They hung up before I could respond.
