The “have you no decency” quote came from the exchange where McCarthy said that Fred Fisher,another attorney from Welch’s firm, belonged to a communist front organization. The organization in question was the National Lawyer’s Guild, not communist at all, but dedicated to civil rights. The “pixie-fairy” exchange was different. Cohn was a homophobic closet homosexual and the implication was that he and Schine were lovers and Cohn was trying to keep Schine from going to Korea, so he could keep on schining his knob. Ironically, Cohn died of AIDS in 1986 after battling against gay rights.
Also, I read somewhere that McCarthy was a junkie and Anslinger supplied his heroin. This great amerikkkan, as Ann Coulter calls him, did die of alcoholism.

I will have to revise my opinion of McCarthy. Anybody that can get his dope straight from the head of the FBN/DEA has my vote. That is about as ironic as George W. Bush being head of the National Narcotics
