I suspect that it would be extremely painful to traumatize any internal organ (except for the brain). The testicles just happen to be the least internal of internal organs.

Just flicking through the TV channels today, and came across a reality medical channel. Woman hospitalized in pain, immediate surgery because of fear of appendacitis endangering fetus (at 3 months). Surgeon found a cist causing twisted ovarie.
