Fair enough. I didn’t mean to imply blame in my examples. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that women often become the focus of aggressive asshole guy’s attention, which then leads to conflicts.
But then you also have women who act as a shit stir and do instigate trouble as you describe.
Soccer is too a contact sport.
Some sports attract hooligans, others do not. Soccer is known for its football hooligans. Going to an away match and getting into a brawl with the opposing teams fans was a hazard. In the UK soccer is a thoroughly working class sport owing to the origin of many teams which were often associated with factory workers in the big industrial towns.
Rugby, despite involving a lot more contact on the field, the fans tend to be noisy but far less prone to fighting. It is a class thing.
