This current anxiety about liquid two-part explosives makes me remember a 1960s Superman story in which Superman was (IIRC) giving a tour of his Fortress of Solitude, and two criminals brought in an explosive in the form of ink in a pen and a therms of coffee. They snuck off and poured the ink from the pens into the thermos, starting a reaction. They put the thermos in a hidden place and left.
Superman found it, of course, before it went off. It didn’t help the villains that they took time to gloat over their stunt before it went off.
