Do They Still Make Macleans Toothpaste?

My favorite toothpaste of all time was a brand called Macleans. It was so strong and minty that it made my eyes water. Do they still make it? If so, where can I buy it? I bought about 10 tubes when we went to Canada a few years ago, but haven’t been able to find it anywhere since. My breath has been rotten ever since. (Just kidding…hmmm…I hope I’m kidding…)

I remember that toothpaste.

Funny, I don’t think I’ve seen it in the last several years.

They seem to sell it in the UK

Did it once have a picture of a butterfly on the tube? Around 20-25 years ago?

A variety of Mclean’s toothpaste is still on the supermarket shelves in Australasia.

Just to confirm that it is still widely marketed here in the UK.

Dear Bob T:

Here’s a great big smooch for you! I am going to order 20 tubes!!!

Thank you so much!

My life is complete…

I’m from Canada and loved Macleans toothpaste in the 1960s, but haven’t seen it in Canada since. It’s available in New Zealand, though, per <http://macleans.co.nz/> . You can buy it online and have it shipped worldwide from <Macleans Toothpaste&gt Health: Buy Online from Fishpond.co.nz; or to just Canada and the U.S. from <http://www.abitofhome.ca/macleans-fresh-mint-toothpaste-125ml.html>

I Started to use Macleans toothpaste when I worked for SmithKline Beecham in the UK, I got an employee discount (although it’s cheaper in the supermarketnow). It’s widely available in the UK, every supermarket stocks it. It’s available on Amazon
In fact I was working there when this was first posted

And so there’s the answer… the decision is made by Smithkline… they don’t sell Maccleans to the USA apparently,
SKB is now GlaxoSmithKline, GSK, and sells Aquafresh and Sensodyne to USA.
eg in Australia there is no Aquafresh but there is certainly Macleans and Sensodyne.

BTW Macleans was invented in New Zealand.
