Well, the NYT picked it up, meaning enough people may agree that trolling sounds fun or useful (God knows why), causing it to surface as a mainstream thing. The ones we actually have to WORRY about like weeve, may no longer see it as a rebellious counter-culture as it just becomes a culture and give it up. eventually the masses will see it as too much work and everything will be restored to its natural order.
Nah, not really, 4chan will do anything to prevent the influx of “newfags” into the trolling world, up to and including suicide bombings*, I’m convinced of that.
*Though given the fact that most of the trolls on 4chan have the real life confidence of a field mouse, they’ll probably outsource it.
