Most will bring there own weapons (though big box stores have them as well). Rations mean canned goods. I suspect MAGA’s will figure out to make a meal out of that.
Camping supplies will be available as well.

How long can 100 people hold up in a Big Box store. Chaos would happen in days.

I asked him once what he’d like Trump to do, and he said “I’d like to see the whole thing torn down and rebuilt.”

I have to wonder what he thinks that will look like, and why he thinks Donald “Bankrupted a Casino” Trump would be anywhere near competent enough to do it.

In general I find such people assume that after the rebuilding they’ll be one of the ones on top. Which is ludicrous.

Conservatism is by nature defensive. Conservatives are trying to preserve useful institutions. Progressives are trying to overthrow the established order. So, it’s baked into the conservative cake. It’s why we always creep leftward, until the incompetency of the left results in some catastrophe that results in a lurch back the other way, but constant creep leftward due to the incessant assault on our traditions, in addition to the creative destruction resulting from capitalism, which paradoxically conservatives cherish, in their maintenance a classically liberal ethos, outweighs the occasional lurch back. This has been the case throughout human political history, and it’s especially obvious in the case of Athenian Democracy and the Roman Republic, because we’re less invested in those societies and it’s easier to see with objectivity.

So, there you have it. It’s why when we get someone who’s willing to fight back hard (e.g., Ron DeSantis, or less so a Trump), many conservatives regard them as too aggressive.

Judging from the prose, which sounds quite educated, this was not written by a low-IQ person but rather by somebody who should know better.

I would say that the “established order” has already been overthrown by Trump and his followers. Our political institutions are holding together for now, but our political customs, such as the things a president does or doesn’t say or do and the support s/he enjoys after saying and doing the worst, have been destroyed.

I wouldn’t even know how to respond to someone so deluded.
