Not sure if you would consider the THERMACELL to be electronic or not, it runs off butane and is available at walmart for between $10-25. I currently own 2 Thermacell units, I know that they work for mosquitos and no-see-ums, everytime I would go outside I would get eat up with bug bites. I bought a thermacell mini lantern to try and after 5 hours outside I only had one mosquito bite! I can’t tell you if they work on spiders or not. They do great for mosquitos!!
Thermacell and similar products work because they vapourise insectides and insect repelents and disperse them into the air. They are just a variant of the plug-in insecticide evaporators that have been sold for decades, and they in turn are just electronic forms of the incense mosquito repellent sticks that go back literally for millenia.
If you find these products more convenient than the much cheaper mosquito coils that’s great. But they all work much the same way and they are totaly unrelated to ultrasound/electromagnetic devices which do not work in any way at all.
No, they don’t. I had one years ago and I swear it drove *more *bugs out of the woodwork and into my view. They certainly didn’t go away. It was horrible! I unplugged the thing and that was it.
