Do users committ SDMB suicide?

You hit the mark there.

If a Homo Interneticus wants to break free from his/her Internet Addiction Disorder, they may want to get banned. Like an alcoholic trying to stop drinking.

I am now resting from some Russian Language forums. To be honest, Americans are much more aggressive.

Sometimes people accidentally leave themselves logged in, which can lead to … interesting … messages being left.

And sometimes the mods decide to just ban us all.

Yeah, there was the person referred to above (not by name) who went out of his/ her way to get banned. There was also another guy who explicitly asked to be banned and revealed a number of sock accounts (undetected) at the same time.

It is kind of a demented source of fun to guess when a new poster is going to be banned. You begin to see the lines they cross and hotspots they cheerfully pounce on without care or remorse before they’re exiled.

I thought most banned posters hit the submit button when they would be over the legal limit to drive, but a medication imbalance seems plausible.

Are you sure it’s not just the pills?

So, how many is that? Three? :stuck_out_tongue:

No pills. I just snicker and realize there’s no point in wrestling the bear.

Why not? That looks like fun!

Quite a few of them never seemed to reach the legal age to drive.
