Do we have a thread for SlackerInc yet? Maybe we should

Oh, if only there was some sort of, I don’t know, “look stuff up” function even a blind monkey could operate…

Yeah, I know, but it seemed that it was mostly his opinion and him looking the other way in some very suspicious cases that he was aware of.

SI is not directly a sex trafficker IMHO, but still he looked like a cad.

Well I’ll be! MrDibble was right (but the discobot said he was, so I’m not too shocked):

SlackWit promotes human trafficking.

ETA:

Yes, but promoting is not the same as being a sex trafficker.

Not that he comes smelling like flowers still…

Oh, he may well be a sex-trafficker, too. I was just looking for corroboration that he endorsed it. Other people are free to utilize the search function.

Like I said, he still stinks, no need to embellish it until there is better evidence.

Well I have to backtarck a bit. Jesus fucking Christ. When ones lies have to go to disgusting places.

Yes, how dare I be both for legalization of drugs and legalization of sex work, so that the state can regulate both and protect people from violence and exploitation.

Being “for legalization of sex work” and “happily driving trafficked sex workers around to their rape-dates” are not the same thing…

Just like “being for legalization of drugs” and “frying your brain on bad hash as a 40-something hanging out with youngsters” are not the same thing…

I’m for legalization of both sex work and drugs, and yet recognize that driving around trafficked prostitutes is repugnant, and dabbing with tweens is pathetic.

Let’s, for the benefit of the folks at home, run this through the Insane Person Translator.

I used to drive for Uber (I quit in early March, obv.) part time, mainly Friday and Saturday from around 1-4 a.m., so mainly bringing home drunks and thereby preventing DUIs while making a little (very little) cash. On occasion, one of the calls would be at the local strip club around 2:30 a.m., where a young woman who danced at the club would be taken to the address she had chosen on her phone. No men were ever accompanying any of them. They always seemed relaxed, maybe a little tired, and made pleasant chitchat with me. Definitely no one ever seemed distressed, scared, or anything remotely approaching that.

That’s it, the end. Nothing more to the story than that. This is what the crazy person is calling “human trafficking”. (ETA: I have only actually been to strip clubs twice in my life, reluctantly, and never got a lap dance or even tipped any of the dancers. How many straight guys over 40 can say that?)

Which I guess makes every Uber and Lyft driver, every regular taxi driver for that matter, a human trafficker. And beyond that, the enablers are…everyone who doesn’t immediately go down to their local strip club and demand that the proprietors be arrested? I guess?

Oops, almost didn’t catch this one. I dabbed with a friend and his girlfriend, the mother of his child. I don’t know how old they are exactly, but they lived at that time in an apartment together, with no one else (since then they have separated), and I took my friend to the liquor store one time where he bought stuff and showed his ID. He also regularly does DJ sets at a club in town. So he had to be at least 21 when we met, 22 when we dabbed, and probably more like 25. But Dibsy just says “tweens” because he’s full of shit.

So, tweens.

This just gets better with each retelling. I’m sure they also had hearts of gold …

That’s not what 99% of people mean by tweens and you know it.

And really, he’s an Uber driver so he transports people who ask for an Uber ride, and that’s bad… why?

So much bad stuff that you can say about him, but this is nonsense.

Do I, really? It’s what I mean, and what everyone I know means, when they say it.

Another clueless idiot…

That’s it, just take ‘em all on, Dribble. You can do it!

ETA: I try to be fair to everyone, regardless of how clueless and disagreeable they may be. IIRC Dibble lives in Africa. Maybe that is in fact the meaning of “tween” there. Here in the U.S. it means someone roughly 9-12 years old.

I suppose technically Tolkien is an African…

People aren’t hobbits.

And…?

Tolkien describing hobbit society is the only place tween means “over 20s”. For humans it means 9-12.
