Do we know who was (allegedly) present at Kavanaugh's (alleged) assault of Ford?

His diary lists “go to Timmy’s for skis with Judge, Tom, PJ, Bernie, Squi” for July 1st. Assuming that that means “brewskis”, that has Brett and Judge and beer all in the same place.

Do we have any idea who the other people at the party were, according to Dr. Ford?

I think he should be disqualified for bro-speak.

The Washington Post had an article today with annotations to Kavanaugh’s calendar.

Their notes indicate the identities of some of these: Squi is Chris Garrett, and PJ is Patrick Smyth.

I’ve been wondering for a while if one of the attendees was actually Chris Garrett. Since Team Kavanaugh fingered him as the assaulter, it suggests Kav knew he was there and would not be able clear himself with an alibi. Maybe it was even at Chris Garrett’s home, just as the doppelgänger theory alleged.

Kav has maintained not being at any party like the one Ford described, though. So someone is lying if July 1 was the party in question.

According the Ford, not Kavanaugh. According to her, as has been cited here:

I attended a small gathering at a house in the Chevy Chase/Bethesda area. There were four boys I remember being there. Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, P.J. Smyth, and one other boy whose name I cannot recall. I remember my friend Leland Ingham attending.

We don’t know if the gathering in Kav’s calendar is the one that Ford is talking about.

Easy. Just find out where “Timmy’s” house was. If its in the area that Prof Ford mentions its makes it more likely.

Sorry for the confusion – I was conflating the OP’s reference to the nicknames of Kavanaugh’s friends on that calendar with his question about who Ford had identified. It had sounded to me like the OP was asking whether the two lined up.

Someone should definitely Zillow the fuck out of Timmy’s house.

Ford has given various accounts of how many people were at the party, ranging from a total of 5 to 7 (unless I’m missing one of her versions). Alleged attendees include Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, PJ Smyth, Leland Keyser, and Ford herself, obviously.

That Washington Post link shows calendars from 1982. He was SEVENTEEN, and maintaining a detailed calendar of his activities.

WHO DOES THAT?

AND WHO KEEPS IT FOR THIRTY-SIX YEARS?

DOESN’T HE EVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY?

WHAT THE HELL?

He shouldn’t be confirmed to sit on the Supreme Court; he should be locked up for his own protection.

I do. I have all my calendars since 1985, when I was 14. I kept notes of what I did each day. I don’t have a ton of stuff from high school, but I kept these. I like to page through them on occasion, to remind myself of what I was doing 10, 20, or 30 years ago. I don’t entirely know why – it’s a nostalgia fetish I guess.

Dr. Ford’s official list, as in the list she has given under oath, names three boys and lists another she doesn’t remember.

She also mentions Leland Ingham, who I believe is Leland Ingham Keyser. (cite.)

Maybe she will come up with the name of someone to back her up, but so far - not so much.

Judge could be subpoenaed, and so could all the other witnesses and victims of the other accusations. It isn’t like Ford is the only one making this claim, she is just the first to come forward.

Ford is the only one making this claim - that Kavanaugh assaulted her at an unidentified house on an unidentified date sometime in the summer of 1982, and she claims specifically who else was present. The committee could subpoena the others, true. But they have already said that they don’t back up her story.

They don’t back up her story when they’re not under oath.

I think that Judge was, but not the others.

You MONSTER! You better hope that you never need to go in front of a confirmation hearing, you despicable calendarist.

Actually, they all gave formal statements under the knowledge that making a false statement to Congress was a punishable offense. This includes her life-long friend, who signed a statement saying she was not present, and doesn’t know Kavanaugh. So one of these women is lying or mistaken. We’re supposed to believe all women. A paradox!

…her “life-long friend” did not sign a statement saying she was not present. If you are going to present a strawman the very least you can do is get the basic facts correct. Keyser’s statement through a lawyer do not contradict Ford’s testimony and Keyser’s statement on the record to the Washington Post very clearly indicates that she both supports Ford and believes her.

This is NOT a good look, but then that’s par for the course for you.
