Do Xiaomi phones like Redmi Note 9, etc., have the Google Play store?

My wife’s phone is heading towards forced obsolescence. It’s a Huawei Honor 6X. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Huawei, but with them losing Google Apps and Google Play Store, it pretty much is not an option for us going forward.

I was looking at a Xiaomi Red Note 9, which is nice and in our price range and would actually be a pretty cool upgrade for my wife, and someone told me that they do actually have the Google Play store. I’m skeptical, as I thought Xiaomi also got the boot from Google, presumably for security reasons like Huawei.

Does Xiaomi still sell phones that come installed with the Google Play store?

I am in the US.

I don’t know if my reply will be very helpful as I am not in the US, but I have a Xiaomi Pocophone and it does come with the Google Play store (and other Google crap).
Perhaps you could go to a mobile phone shop and inquire.

If you’re buying a Xiaomi phone made for the US (or international) market, it should come with Google Play services included. If it doesn’t, there is no shortage of “how do I install Google Play services?” videos on YouTube.

Thank you to @zbuzz and to everyone else. I’ll probably price shop the:

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro

because my wife wants a better camera and the camera on Pro is better. It’s about $25-$30 more than regular and it is probably worth it.

I figure I’ll buy direct from Walmart or Amazon to make sure it has 30 day returns on it. If it lacks something I’m missing, no harm.
