Do you also tend to write the wrong year for the current date on your birthday?

Not my birthday today, actually (was a month ago), but as I am the type to occasionally idly ruminate, in this cases thinking of brains on autopilot:

Every year on the day of my birthday, when I put today’s date on a note or form, I usually have to strike through and correct the date beacuse I have written my DOB instead of today’s date. For important forms I have to really concentrate not to do this.

If I make a mistake it’s the opposite way. When filling out forms I’ll put the current year instead of my birth year.

I honestly can’t remember this ever coming up. I’m sure I’ve had to date stuff on my birthday, but I doubt it’s happened enough to develop a pattern. My birthday’s in the summer, so I never had school on it.

I do this. We must just be special.

No.

I DO occasionally put down the wrong date if I have to date something on my birthday, but that’s because I was born near the beginning of the year, and it’s quite possible my birthday is the first time I’ll have to write the date that year.

Not only do I do this sometimes, but even more often, when I try to write “Christmas” or “Christian,” I wind up writing my name. Merry Christine! :smack:

My birthday was the 23rd, and I very nearly wrote the wrong year on some forms. I voted Yes, even though I caught myself before I started writing an 8, but that’s probably as much because I’m still over-vigilant not to start a year with a 0.

One year I had to move out of one dorm room and into another on my birthday. Know how many forms have to be signed and dated to do that? I had to keep reminding myself that it was NOT in fact 1967, but 1986.

Me too. I’ve only done this a few times though.

I used to make this mistake in my 20s and 30s. Once I hit 40 however, I stopped celebrating my birthday. Problem solved.

It’s a trifecta. Heck, I had to put my birthdate in a forum just a day or so ago, and I started the year with a 2 before I realized what I was doing.
