Do you know what the word “incredulity” means? It means “unbelieveing.”
Nor should there be. There is no reason to doubt that the impossible is impossible. That is the default presumption. A skeptic, by definition, does not believe in fantastic or impossible claims without evidence. Do yu understand that physical impossibility is enough to put the question to rest all by itself?
You’ve been ducking a lot of my questions. Do you believe it’s possible that goblins exist? Is it closed minded to say they don’t exist?
It is my opinion that goblins do not exist. Goblins are not a part of my local folklore and I’m not completely sure of what a goblin is supposed to be. I’ve not heard much about them, other than fairytales as a child.
I have not used the term close-minded, you may have me confused with another poster. The term I used was narrow-minded. And to answer your question, no it’s not narrow-minded to say they don’t exist. However, it is narrow-minded and showing a lack of critical thinking, to say to someone who thinks they saw a goblin, that they saw nothing at all. It would seem more likely that they saw something that they mistook for a goblin.
Are you 100% sure about that or is there any “gray area?”
No one here has said that people think they’ve seen ghosts have seen nothing at all. It is EXACTLY our position that they saw something else that they mistook for a ghost.
Why do you keep misrepresenting what people have said?
The only comments I have made that were directed at anyone here, are the ones I directed at someone here. Why is it whenever I or anyone else you and your brethren don’t agree with, make a general comment, you think it was directed at YOU? Is it paranoia or arrogance?
If I were to say, “Gee, I hope it doesn’t rain nextweek”, You would probably say, “I never said it would rain nextweek, how dare you accuse me of saying that!”
Now, I’m bored to death of this thread and I’m sure others are as well. But, since you’ll probably accuse me of running away, I invite you to continue the discussion via email.
