I love to watch the stuff from redlettermedia, tgwtg, videogamenerd, YMS, spoony
I think those guys do a terrific job and deserve to get paid for this
You watch this kind of videos? Do you know other good reviewers?

I watch the Angry Joe Show for video game reviews.
yes ofc Angry Joe is funny as well
i also like totalbiscuit and Lazy game review…as game theorists
I watch Lindsay Ellis (The Nostalgia Chick)'s movie reviews because they’re a nice mixture of intelligence and humor.
Movie Bob and Yatzee of The Escapist are both really good and really funny.
I watch Todd in the Shadows and Rap Critic on tgwtg.
do you know accursed farm? this guy is a genius ! he is also on tgwtg…and Leon Thomas is very very informative as well
Yep. I love Nostalgia Chick’s reviews. Funny and insightful.
Nostalgia Guy also does some good reviews, but I find his presentation a bit annoying.
I watch:
Nostalgia Critic
Angry Video Game Nerd
Film Brain
Spoony
RedLetterMedia, especially Half in the Bag and Best of the Worst
JonTron
PeanutButterGamer
I think Doug Walker(Nostalgia Critic), James Rolfe(Nerd), and JonTron are the best. However, Best of the Worst from RedLetterMedia is my favorite “show”, if you would.
I’ve tried watching some of the video game critics but they all seem to be some combination of “fast talking” and “yelling”. Sometimes more of one than the other but I haven’t found one yet who was actually watchable.
Watch them? I am an internet critic! Woo-hoo!
I’ve watched Plinkett’s reviews on redlettermedia, more for his entertaining style than any expectation of getting insight into the movies.
I used to always check Roger Ebert’s online review of any movie I was thinking of seeing, to help me decide whether it was worth spending the money on or not. Now that he has passed I don’t really have any go to site anymore for pre-watch filtering.
I haven’t. I’ll check them out
I watch Half in the Bag on Red Letter Media.
I watch Belated Media on YouTube but he doesn’t post very often.
Not sure if you would call the Everything Wrong with… and Honest Trailer guys critics but I watch those.
Huh, I watch Plinkett’s reviews for exactly the opposite reason. His general manner is definitely funny, but the whole “I’m a killer and kidnapper of women ha ha ha” is really grating and has been run into the ground. He has a ton of information about film theory, though, and I find his perspective very informative.
I also watch Yahtzee, Movie Bob, Everything Wrong With, Honest Trailers, Super Bunnyhop, Errant Signal, and Matthewmatosis.
I really enjoyed Errant Signal’s reviews of the Deus Ex series, Spec Ops: The Line, Assassin’s Creed, Thief, and Dishonored. Matthewmatosis had some entertaining reviews on Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, and Metal Gear Solid.
No love for Jim Sterling from viewers of The Escapist?
And she’s normal cute. I like Critic, himself, for the other reasons. He is a good reviewer, except it’s hidden because he mostly critiques dreck.
Whatyaknow…that makes two of us!
A lot of these guys are entertaining, some are obnoxious, but most are actually kinda crappy when it comes to being critics and fall into common traps like nitpicking or just pointing out what everyone else already has.
YMS is one of the few to point out things I haven’t thought of before, at least in his longer analysis videos – especially on more technical aspects, like lighting or camera shots. His Best of Year X is super handy. I’ve found lots of obscure gems that way, since he doesn’t just focus on the usual crapfest of big name Hollywood movies. Like RLM’s Star Wars vids he’ll also track down behind the scenes interviews that can be really funny when contrasted to clips from the movie.
This is the only name I recognized in this entire thread. Which seems odd, being that I do watch movies and play videogames, and use the Internet every day.
I’m pretty videophobic, though. Still much prefer reading stuff (even a transcript).
