Do you hand wash dishes daily or let them pile up for the dishwasher (appliance)?

Well, I’m on my own during the week and have the kids on weekends. Everything goes into the dishwasher. My ex used to pull things out of the dishwasher to be washed by hand because they “were taking up too much room!”

What a ridiculous thing to say and do. I don’t wash anything by hand anymore: screw that.

ETA: And I agree with Quartz; why rise them beforehand? This is why it’s called a dishwasher.

They pile up in the sink until the cleaning lady comes. She comes a couple of times a week so it’s not usually too bad unless I have guests over.

we’re weird. Even though we have a dishwasher, we usually hand-wash.

Even if we use the dishwasher, we run it before the end of the day that a dish is first put in. I don’t think we’;ve ever had dirty dishes in the dishwasher overnight.

I hate dishes in the sink, so plates, glasses and silverware get rinsed and to into the dishwasher, which gets run when full or when we run out of something, every three or four days. I do pots by hand since we’ll use them again the next day.
By rinsing I can use a shorter water-saving dishwasher setting - plus I’m old enough to not really trust them to get nasty food off.
