I think this is like the automatic/manual transmission polls, where one side is much more interested in the topic than the other.
The usual US one for going to Canada and the normal places and one some relatives in Georgia (Republic of) got for me. Partly as a joke, partly as a tribute and partly as a “if things ever go to Hell”. It’s real but several rules were bent in the process.

If you are entitled to another passport it will be a German one - no such thing as an EU passport. They are issued by the member states.
Yup. Mrs. Homie and I both got ours before a Caribbean cruise in 2009.
No telling when (or even if) either of us will ever leave the country again, but if I do, I’m good to go (for five more years, anyway).
