Of course I do. I have two copies, one in the desk drawer and a little teeny one in my purse. (I don’t own a cell phone to store stuff on… When I want to call Auntie Em in Kansas, it takes less than a minute to look up her number and dial it). The odd thing is, everyone’s name or business sems to begin with the letter “B”, and the “B” page has spread out onto the “C” and “D” pages.
Somewhere in one of my junk drawers I have an address book. I don’t think I’ve used it since the '80s.
Yes, I have one in my purse. I use it quite often!
I haven’t used a physical address book in decades. Now, with the iPhone, my address book is automatically synced with my desktop and laptop computers, and also backed up to the “cloud”, so I don’t worry about losing it.
Yes. I made it first to backup the cellphone. It isn’t completely up to date - I have some addresses on my computer too, but it’s fairly good.
Address book? You mean those things were real at one time? Fascinating. I don’t have a VCR or an acoustic coupler either.
Have one, use it. (I still have a VCR, too.)
Of course. It takes too long to type addresses into my phone, I can’t figure out how to print address labels from my contacts list, and I don’t need it very often. I have the main book with the Christmas card and other addresses, the Directory from the church, and a mini-book with web addresses and passwords. Yes, i know. But I can’t remember them, and I rarely change them
I don’t trust technology completely…I want to be prepared for the day that the System goes down and we are all incapable of calling anyone on a landline because we don’t know their number and can’t use the cell phones.
Oh, and I own three typewriters, and the VCR is still functional though rarely used.
