I’ve had quite a few dreams where I don’t interact, I am a passive observer - but I don’t think that matches the OP’s criteria.
I have dreamt in pure stop-motion style cartoons and in black & white silent movie style, both “watching” scenes unfold.
Always first person. Always with very vivid color.
Question - if you don’t like the way a dream is going, can you rewind it with yourself in a different location?
My dreams are usually in first person. But if I do something that would cause the “camera” to rotate, sometimes I’ll pull back into third person. So, if I do a flip, I actually see myself flipping.
I can be someone else in that I can look different and have false memories, but I always feel like me.
I do sometimes alternate between watching something on TV or a movie screen to participating. And, even when participating, I have had credits in my dreams. But usually these days this would be followed by having just watched something on TV.
