Mine is current until 2017. I travel just enough that I need to keep it current.
Yup. Travel quite a lot.
You’ve inspired me to go check on mine. It expires sometime in the next year or so.
Whoops. So mine expired in May :o
I will doing something about that this evening!
Yes, this is a small country, can get claustrophobic!
Mine is expired. I got it in '99, made one trip to Scotland with a bunch of friends and haven’t left the U.S. since.
Not a big deal for me as I have no plans to travel anywhere, nor am I likely to in the foreseeable future. This is due to both financial issues and objections to the security theatre that is the TSA.
I always keep mine current. I can’t imagine letting it lapse.
I always keep the passports updated. As for kids pictures, it never invalidates the passport that they grow up. My twins had 5 year passports with virtually identical photos from where they were 3 months old.
Yes, it’s not that hard. You only have to renew it like, what, once every few years.
Yes. I live ten minutes from the U.S. border and like to be able to hop over whenever I like. I used to travel quite a bit for work, and I never discount the need/want for personal travel.
I certainly keep my US passport up to date because I make maybe 10 trips to the US every year plus one to Barbados. But I have not bothered getting a Canadian passport (been a citizen for 2+ years) because they expire in five years.
Renewed mine and my wife’s last year, right before the renewal fees shot up.
I’ve never had a passport and likely never will. I haven’t left the Memphis area in almost 20 years. That’s half my life!
You don’t have family out of the area, I guess.
While I enjoy travelling, the main reason I do it is because I have to: Combined, my wife and I have family all over the world. Also, my company sends my out for business travel every once in a while, usually to Europe.
Yes. All of my blood relatives excluding my parents and sister, live in Canada. Prior to 9-11, the rules were pretty lax at the border, so we didn’t need passports. Since then, mine has been kept current.
Yes. I live in a foreign country so it is kind of expected.
Only if you want to come home.
Add me to the “yes, because you never know” list, although the main reason it’s up to date is because I had a trip planned that just happened to be right after my previous passport would have expired.
No, mine expired a couple of years ago and I have not renewed as of yet. I want to do so soon. I will be going back to my maiden name in a few months when my divorce is final. I am waiting until then to renew it. And then, the sky is the limit! I’ll be able to leave this Popsicle stand, temporarily…at least.
Yes. But then, it’s pretty much a given for me.
