My parents were not keen on me watching The Simpsons when it started while I was in elementary school.
I did it anyway. On the small TV in their bedroom, just for an extra feeling of transgression. Eventually, I got them watching it, and it became must-watch TV for our family for a couple of years.
Back in those days, they’d send you home from school if you were wearing a Bart Simpson T-shirt. It’s amazing the things people choose to care about.
Was it the ones that said “I’m Bart Simpson. Who the hell are you?” Or the ones suggesting that one ingest underwear?
my oldest nephew didnt care for the simpsons but he loved family guy when he was about 8 or 9
Actually i knew groening from his "— is hell " books way before i knew about the simpsons those were good but i found the simpsons to be eye roll worthy occasionally and while i found futurama i found it to be too assholic sometimes … although Im told his partner had more to do with the stories on futurama …
