Do you like high heels?

I actually quite liked the shoe-booties (ankle boots?).

I like the gladiator boots too!

Peeptoe boots, now I can get behind you on that.

Agreed, although I don’t feel guilty that I think women look sexy in heels. I’m a man, and my wife won’t wear them. I wouldn’t force her to wear them (even if I could), so seeing women in heels just goes into my visual and/or fantasy file.

I’m female and hate wearing high heels. They can be very pretty, but I’ve never found a pair that I could wear comfortably, though frankly I’d never wear shoes if it were practical. I try to wear as little on my feet as possible.

I like them.
They HATE me.
Subsequently, I have, in the past, purchased exquisite italian leather heels* and use them as jewelry holders 'cause I couldn’t even stand in them for long, much the less walk.

le sigh.
*For very cheap at a second hand store

I’m 32 and just learned how to walk in heels a few months ago, and now I love wearing them. Some of them are surprisingly comfortable, too*, even after wearing them all day and evening. All of my heels are 3" and under, though – I can’t even walk down the aisle in the shoe store wearing anything higher than that.

*I can’t find a link to the exact shoe, but my most comfortable pair is made by Madden Girl.

I’m a man, and it’s perfectly obvious to me that high heels were invented by a man so that women would be unable to run away from rapists.

Um, actually that doesn’t make it clear whether I like them or not. For the record, I *don’t *like them. I don’t think they don’t look sexy in the slightest - in fact, they’re often a turn-off to me. I might be setting myself up for romantic failure here, but I like my women independent, intelligent and in sneakers.

Ladies, there are men out there who think practical shoes are sexy.

Men, there are women out there who aren’t dressing for you. Just sayin’.

Hey, anyone who’s wearing heels to attract a man, feel free to toss 'em aside. I fully endorse this decision. If you hate them, no point to attracting a man who’ll expect you to wear them

On the other hand, if you get up and dress every day to make *yourself *feel good, do what pleases you, be it heels, flats, gladiator sandals. Anything but peeptoe boots, I beg of you.

Okay, I’m gonna need a link for these crazy boots. I’m afraid to google for it or my computer will blow up. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the abomination that is a “peep toe” boot.

What kind of sexless philistine doesn’t *worship *the sight of a beautiful woman in sexy high heels?

Peep-toe boots. Vile things, and utterly ludicrous. If the weather is such that you need to wear boots, you don’t want your toes exposed.

I’m male, and I think high heels are sexy. Provided the wearer can walk on them and is comfortable on them. On someone who can’t wear them properly they just look ridiculous, and in that case I thoroughly prefer that the woman wears flats.

My wife is just 3cm shorter than I am, and just because of that she’s not comfortable wearing high heels when we go out together. I think that I wouldn’t mind (hey, Tom Cruise is about my height, and he’s been dating women who wear high heels, so why can’t I do that?).

Woman here who loves heels. 80% of my shoes are 3" heels or higher. Platforms to stilettos, I like them all.

I like them, and I especially enjoy the extra inches added to my height. No heel size can faze me. Compared to the type of beating my feet had to take in my younger dancing days, walking in high heels ranks a 0 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being painless & easy and 10 being painful & awkward.

I don’t like “peep toe” anything. Stupid concept, IMO. If you want to wear sandals, wear sandals. If you want to wear shoes or boots, wear shoes or boots. Is the sight of a toe and a half poking out at the end of a shoe supposed to be sexy?

While we’re on the subject, I also don’t get the concept of “toe cleavage.” Seems like another stupid construct of the shoe industry. To me, it makes it look like your shoes don’t fit right.

Yeah, I know. I’m a curmudgeon. I have nothing against sexy things–but stupid things that are supposed to be sexy just make me shake my head.

As always, your mileage may vary and everyone has a right to his or her own opinion.

Thing is, I don’t know a single person who owns, likes, or at least does not loathe the peep-toe boot. So, who is driving the market here? Why are we still seeing these?

Hobbit.

I hate them. They are medieval torture devices to make women walk funny and hurt them. they should be banned. They service no positive purpose.

Yikes. Peep toe boots are ridiculous.

This may upset some people, but I question the intelligence of anyone that wears high heels.

And anyone that complains about sore feet when wearing high heels? Well there’s a special place in hell for them.
