Yeah, I’m not suggesting his other movies are themeless; only that he has never been–to my mind–as successful in communicating whatever theme he had in mind.

Who’s ‘they’ in this sentence? Rodriguez and Tarantino? Both movies I mentioned were made by Tarantino.
