Do you pick your nose?

I’m curious, how do those who say that they never pick their nose get rid of encrustments in their nasal passages ?

I thought that was a “coke nail” for snorting cocaine.

looks at Foley catheter diameter…looks at pinky

Wanna bet?

Almost makes one wonder how she landed Mr Post, but that’s a visual for another day.

well, yeah…but I use Q-tips.

Funny thing, got home from work, picked my nose, washed my hands, and fed the cats. In that order. It only makes sense. I’m not sure why it is difficult to believe that someone would actually do this.

I use a neti pot before I go to bed and I wash that right after I use it too. I’m not a germaphobe (as is obvious by looking around my house) but, um, bodily passages are personal space and I don’t share them with others uninvited.

You can’t imagine instances of people being out n about and have no access to bathroom/hand sanitizer after stealthy sessions of emergency nose picking, eg while driving?

Sure I can. But you were generalizing that all of us nose-pickers don’t wash our hands. I was just rebutting that. Because I do wash my hands. That’s all.

I did?

I’m often appalled by the size/length of my boogers.

The “people pick their noses in their sleep” is interesting to me because upon waking is when I most notice…uh, things needing picking. (Also my ears needing a good pinky scour - these were CLEAN after my shower yesterday!)

That having been said: Yes when in public or at work I go to the bathroom to pick/blow my nose with tissues and wash my hands. (ESPECIALLY since I’m in the health care field.) No brainer. At home or in the car? God forbid my husband’s nephew who bought my last car ever looks under the driver’s seat.
