Maybe not forever, but they’re meant to last a hell of a lot longer than tapes or whatever else preceded them. They should out last anyone reading this board, anyway.

This. I have some 1939 World’s Fair collectibles. Now remember, of all World’s Fair’s, this is probably the most memorable. Commemorative spoons only go for +/- $5 each, and there sure weren’t any billion, or even million of those, I’d venture. IIRC, the most expensive thing that I saw on ebay from there is about $150, and that was something that was quite remarkable even for the time. Collectible, but, not valuable.
