I’ll bump this because of a story I wanted to tell that is related.
I was recently at work, and a man comes through my register so I could scan his items. I am Sicilian-American as I elaborated in my thread about Sicilians. He looks at me and goes “Are you Lebanese by any chance?” and I said “No, I’m Sicilian.” and he said “For a second when I saw your face, I felt like I was in Beirut again.” and I said my father has been told the same thing and he said that all of us in the Mediterranean are related to one another and so it made sense.
We have a lot of Lebanese in my town and a lot of them do not look stereotypically “Middle Eastern” the way people think of it.
