Most of the sit-down restaurants around here charge .50 or $1.00 extra for take-out. No, I don’t tip beyond a keep-the-change bit.

Honestly, I find tipping demeaning. I’m not their employer, I’m just a working stiff like they are and if they’re not paid enough, they should take it up with their boss. Now, I’ll tip for table service or delivery because that’s the custom of the land, but beyond that? Nope.
But then, I never charge my clients more than we agreed on in advance, either.
I tip a couple of bucks at my favorite Thai family restaurant. Not at Chipolte.
I do not tip when picking up. I believe not tipping is the custom. I believe not tipping should be the custom. But if someday there turns out to be some consensus that tipping IS the custom in such situations, I would probably do it.
I do tip a small amount for delivery when a delivery charge is included, and I tip a greater amount when it’s not included.
