i think being a homicide or narcotics detective would be a great job. i wouldn’t want to be a patrolman writing speeding tickets and such so i don’t think i could ever make it to detective.
Nope. I have an authoritarian tendency when I’m angry that would only be made worse if I had the power to implement it. In other words, make me mad, and I’d be sorely tempted to be a crooked cop to get back at you.
I would love to, but I’d get fired within a week.
But why would you, traditionally the police force is a terrible work environment for a woman.
I’ve always liked the idea of a job where I don’t have to be nice to the people I’m working with.

Funny thing, neither of them grew a mustache or shaved their head (although I did).
A woman I was talking to said that a goatee with a shaved head looks (to her) like a vagina with a tummy above.

Depends on the force and the percentage of women on that force. I know a woman who’s been on the LAPD for coming on 20 years, and she loves her job, including the work environment.
