I think I’ll move it. It is a close call, but there’s likely to be some discussion beyond yes or no.
Moved from IMHO to CS.

Of course I do. I hate to be disturbed during it, too. Pisses me off. Spousal-type unit now requests advance warning, or that I fire it up in her absence.
Likewise.
Actually, the intros were all straight avi’s–you can play them from the game folder. I’d occasionally flip my video and sound to my entertainment center so I could watch them from the comfort of the couch. Yeah, I’m a Thief nerd.
Depends on the game. I tend not to for sports games (Madden 2006, etc), but games like the Grand Theft Auto series, I tend to watch not just the game intros, but the ones for each mission, also. Unless I just failed it, and have to try again.
I can understand that. Definitely one of the best intros ever.
In my younger, more indulgent years, I too would make a ritual out of watching intros.
Cold Beer: check.
Fat, tasty bowl: check.
Indulge in both, dim the lights, and wait for the movie…errr… game to start.
Wow, I’m definitely in the minority here. Clearly I’m not a *true *gamer.
Always the first time, sometimes on subsequent viewings depending on how good it is. Do not try to talk to me while I’m watching the intro, or worse yet, a FMV during the course of the game.
I’ve even sat down to watch the intro of games that my husband was playing but I had no intent on playing.
