I want to see the boys buy the best second-hand time machine that they can get for under £1,000. Clarkson would buy an ugly Italian time machine that he thought was stylish, which would get stuck in Mussolini-era Turin. The little rat-faced one would travel radio stations of the 1980s. And James May would lounge about in leatherbound drawing rooms with Winston Churchill, smoking a pipe.
