I do wish they’d waited a bit longer before revealing that he hadn’t been destroyed in the Blitz…I’m not sure what they could have filled it with, but something to draw out the sad before the triumphant return of the non-melted AutonRory.
Hope so. If you can get your hands on it, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss currently have a modern take (it’s faithful to the old take in a lot of ways though) on Sherlock Holmes, called Sherlock, that is currently showing on BBC. It’s very good. The first 90 minute episode was last Sunday, with another two to go. I reckon you’d like it.

I think he already is pretty interesting. I like that he’s not particularly overawed by the Doctor - remember, he wasn’t blown away first time he stepped in the TARDIS. As I said before, I think that Moffat et al. have done a good job of slyly making Rory a significant, interesting character. There’re depths to Rory that have just been hinted at - remember in “The Eleventh Hour”, when everyone is standing around looking at the cool Big-Eye-In-The-Sky alien spaceship, Rory’s looking at the coma patients. He notices things. I’m looking forward to next season.
I just rewatched all the earlier episodes from this season, and I’d have to pick “The Time of Angels” as the best of the lot.
