I am not sure if it is the ultimate Police car, but the linked page does have one of the world’s greatest disclaimers
I love that!
We have a Magnum as a ghost car here. Except everyone knows it’s a ghost car, which defeats the purpose. But pulling someone over on a main drag at rush hour contributes to that.
To answer the OP? Nothing!
The SRT 8 is pretty much my dream car. Heck, I even did a project on the car before it came out for a marketing class. The new Charger is arguably the most awesome muscle car in the history of sedans. Wonder what it would take to convince them to sell me one with the police package?
Please excuse the Napolean Dynomitesque language, the Charger makes me… well, pretty much just makes me.
Ahh, thought of ONE thing… a manual transmission!
I test-drove one before buying my 300. What a rush! I would have bought it but my wife said it reminded her of the “cholo” cars of her ute.
Bullshit. Using the radio, the computer, manipulating the siren/lights at intersections and god knows what else is almost impossible with a manual. There’s just too much shit in the way anyway to comfortably shift, even if you weren’t in a pursuit. A manual in a police car is a bad idea and is a hinderance in a pursuit, not a benefit.
I wouldn’t mind having one of the CHP Mustangs.
The ones with the cage are funny. You have to squeeze them through the passenger door to “throw 'em in the back”.
Yeah the bonus was you got an automatic resisting arrest charge added if the officer tried to stuff you in the back seat.
Or you could’ve been pulled over by one of these:

they took you to jail in the trunk!
I suppose, if economical family sedans are your thing.
The Scottsdale, Az. PD oncne owned two of these. It was a promotional deal w/ the owner, Malcom Bricklin.
Sorry, forgot the link: About The Bricklin SV-1
Amateurs! Italy has a police Lamborghini.
He doesn’t fit! Get the Taser, that’ll teach 'em!!
All I can say is that it is a good thing I am getting a new laptop next week, this one is covered in coffee.
You can’t top the classics - Interceptor
And in a modern update to the concept - my local sheriff has brought in an undercover 2006 Subaru - a Legacy 2.5 GT
