In such a situation we should do as this guy did:
Only the loss of hordes of children of negligent parents dying for lack of outsider compensatory aid will wake people up from their idiocy.

I remember reading recent storys of a man being asked to leave the children’s section of a bookstore because he was a lone man surrounded by children, he was just looking for books.
Another story of a man sitting next to a child on a airplane travelling alone was asked to move. The airline had a policy of placing women next to travelling children travelling solo. It was a mistake he was seated there.
I rememeber checking an appartment for rent, a little girl answered the door she was all by herself waiting until her mother got home for work for that hour or so when kids are alone. She was aware I was coming over to check out the appartment and said I could come in. I backed out of there like the place was haunted, and came back with my GF.
I’m not risking the chance of putting myself in the situation where I could be charge falsely of something, having my name, photograph publish spend money to prove my innocence while the damage is done regardless. Sorry kids are on their own around me, I may shoo them away like chickens as mentioned already. But I’m not touching them.
If it’s a construct in our minds other people put it there.
I think that that was a policy of many airlines. Virgin was one of them. They’re backing down now.
Yes. I happen to enjoy YA fantasy books. But when I wander into the kids section at our local library I am immediately greeted by a staffer who questions me on why I am there. Damnit, I am there because my fucking taxes paid for this and I want to read a damn book, OK?
