…What actually intrigues me is not to read about one of those sects, but how it is possible that they seem to find so easily folllowers who apparently almost all the time get brainwashed in giving everything they have to “the Prophet”.
That and the fact that there are so amazingly many of them, all while they keep the potential to still pop up like mushrooms, in new variations. In my opinion that is something unique “Made in USA”
The same for the amazing so called Nation Of Islam - For Black People Only. That is as racist (= unislamic at the very core) as can be and manages to lump lines of Al Qur’an and the Bible together while writing a brandnew exegeses on all of them.

If I am ever bankrupt I certainly be tempted to create my own version of religion and inject that into the fertile US soil.

Ironic, this, in a thread discussing atrocities commited by Al Qaeda. It’s a good thing those suicide bombers and murdering “fighters” aren’t giving everything up at the word of some nebulous leader who may or may not ever have the stones do as they tell others to do. Oh, wait a second…

There may be some inconsistencies here, and I admit I’m increasingly hoping somebody authoritative would go over the thing piece by piece.

However, that link says “Al-Zarqawi is known to have lost one leg, yet there is now sign on the video of either a prosthesis or any awkward movement.”
The government a few months ago retracted the claim he had had a leg amputated. So I wonder if there aren’t some other selective inclusions there. Still…

I subscribed and looked through the Sunday Times article. It was an article about the existance of ‘conspiracy theories’ about the beheading tape. None the less it raises a claim of 50 inconsistancies, and the apparent US military hat on frame 9??? (though report says it was a white ear visable ? ).
