I think we all use encryption by default when we are accessing certain web sites. What I was wondering about though is email. I recognise that all my email is potentially viewable by my ISP, web mail company or whatever. It does not bother me overly much. I was wondering if people with more serious privacy concerns than me actually use PGP or whatever is the current fashion in encryption? Are there programs that make it easy to send and recieve encrypted email, or is it inherently a thing for geeks?
We have a number of lawyers here at Large Powerful Lawfirm, L.L.P. who send important, confidential emails using PGP. I however, never send anything of importance through email, so I don’t use it myself.
However, PGP is quite easy to use. Just an additional click or two for both the sending and receiving of encrypted emails.

I’m working on a videogame for a next-generation console. Most of my email is unencrypted, but occasionally we pass information from which technical specs could conceivably be deduced and that always gets encrypted.
We use PGP … and yes its pretty easy, just highlight the text and copy it into the encryption/decryption tool.
