Woo Hoo! A DOG PARTY! I do love me a Dog Party!
I also like your party hat.
My daughter did the same thing. She would “read” it to herself over and over. She used Go Dog Go to help her pick out the words and continued on other books.
She used to laugh like a little crazy girl at the “do you like my hat” parts.
I used to hear her playing in her room by herself. She’d put on hats and ask her stuffed animals if they liked her hat. When they said no, she’d say good bye and leave the room. Later I’d her her asking them again about her hat. It was pretty cute.
Dr Suess books bring back some of the fondest memories of when my daughter was 3-4 years old. She really liked when I’d read Green Eggs and Ham using the voices of Burns and Smithers from the Simpsons. (Burns is Sam)
“Smithers, do you like green eggs and ham?”
“Sir, I thought I told you not to leave your lunch by the cooling towers.”
What exactly is a board book?
A book designed for small children, where the pages are stiff cardboard rather than paper. There’s usually only a few pages, since they’re so thick, roughly 3/32 of an inch.
