Does anyone here own a Festool Domino?

I know there are better forums to ask this, but has anyone here used a Festool Domino? I’m into woodworking as a hobby and have been for years, mostly making artsy furniture, and I have developed a comfortable & consistent way for me to make mortise & tenon joints but it still takes a good amount of time to setup.

I’ve been eyeing the Festool Domino and just like anyone, I’m put off by the price, but I’m drawn in because from the reviews. It seems like a game-changer for m&t joinery.

Do any of you have an opinion on it?

Looks like a clever tool, but it appears to be pricey. This one is a low end model I think.

Have you tried a more traditional bench mortiser? They can be a little tough to use because the bits are so tight in the mortise that it takes some force to pull them out on the upswing, and the chisel portion of the bits will need careful sharpening.

I’ve been satisfied with doweling or biscuits in what I’ve made, only occasionally cutting a true mortise.

Festool has always had a notorious reputation for being overpriced.

I’ve looked at the benchtop mortisers, but I like the idea of bringing the tool to the work instead of the work to the tool. Even a good stationary mortiser is cheaper than the domino, but it’s more limited in capability.
