I bought the Kill Bill Vol.2 soundtrack the other day, and there’s some great songs and instrumentals on there (although Charlie Feathers’ yelping can really get on my nerves). Anyway, the first song, after The Bride’s little speech about having killed a lot of people and finally being on her way to kill Bill, is a track called “Goodnight Moon” by Shivaree.
Most songs take a while to grow on me, but this one from the first note of the intro, all through the singer’s sultry vocals, right to the end had me hooked. I’ve not heard of them before and all a Google search turned up was an official page where none of the audio/video links worked, and a bunch of pages of lyrics.
Can anyone help me out here? What kind of music do they play, and are all their songs as good as “Goodnight Moon”, or like so many bands is this their one stand-out track? For that matter, are their other songs even in a similar style?
