Does AutoCAD & Land CADD run properly on notebook computers?

When I was checking the system requirements for AutoCAD 2007 & Land CADD, among other things, they require a system with 3.0 ghtz of clock speed, and 2 - 4 gbytes of on-board memory. And it was not long before I noticed that the fastest notebook computer speed at the time was a 2.0 ghtz computer from Dell. I know that some people in the engineering business and elsewhere run AutoCAD and Land Cad on their computers, so there-in lies my question.

Does AutoCAD and Land Cadd (Land Development Desktop) run on a notebook computer? And, how well does it run on a notebook computer?

Ok thats about all

For Autocad…that’s silly. I have a 2.0 ghz dual core processor in my Dell notebook, with 1 gig of RAM. Autocad 2007 runs very, very well on it. I’ve also worked with Autocad 2007 on a ~600 mhz Pentium III desktop. A 'lil slow sometimes, but not enough to really bother me. You really shouldn’t have any trouble running any version of Autocad on a notebook with okay specs if you’re just sticking to 2d work. Or 3d, for that matter.

As for Land CADD, I have no clue. Sorry.

I’ve run 3D CAD programs (ProE and SolidWorks) on a laptop, so I wouldn’t be too worried.
