Does Babylon 5 get any better? (pilot episode spoilers)

No, they were a clandestine operations group during the Shadow wars. Now they’re the military backbone of the Interstellar Alliance. And humans have the technology to colonize Mars and other planets. They have the technology to fix major world wars and climate change.

From what I understand, is that outside help COULD get to Earth, but the surviving Earthers may not be very friendly to these outsiders. Similarly, since Earth evidently started the whole thing to begin with, those same outsiders may not be particularly inclined to lend them a hand.

Also, I suppose it’s entirely possible that Earth wasn’t the only planet to get its teeth kicked in during The Burn, so it could just be that there isn’t much in the way of other powers capable of lending them substantial support.

I went to go have a look and I’m surprised that none of the B5 stuff is available in Nook/Kindle edition. I’ve been able to find nearly all of the more expensive Star Trek novels I was curious about in that format (even though some of the transfers were hideous).

Looks like the same case for the Star Wars stuff, though.

You can get it on Amazon from them for $8, new for $6.71, and used for $3.50

Of course outside help could get to Earth-- Who do you think was hiding those generators and gasoline? The ranger-monks not only weren’t keeping help out, they were the ones channeling it in.

By the way, for anyone who’s now finished the series… I adore this fan video summarising the whole saga in song.

MAJOR, MAJOR SPOILERS, obviously.

Tom Smith - Five Years

Holy Shit is that really JMS!!!

While I don’t have an IP address to confirm it, I’d be inclined to say yes. He’s been an internet presence since before B5 started (B5 was probably made possible because of this - his fan base wasn’t very big compared to today’s social media, but it brought pressure when and where necessary), and he tends to be, shall we say, touchy when he feels that he’s being misreprented in some way.
