Does caffeine really *work*?

Caffeine does not produce an insurmountable tolerance like some other drugs. Actually, taking it consistently(like an addict) enhances some of its effects. You can’t eliminate the wakefulness-promoting aspect. People get used to the subjective, mood brightening lift and when they don’t get it, they assume it is no longer working. That ain’t true, 'cause caffeine was designed to prevent stupid programming mistakes, not get you high.
