Just a nitpick, but I’m pretty sure at least some gay men were injected with oestrogen too, in attempts to suppress their libido. That was what happened to Alan Turing, for example.
No, there are NO GAY people in China; Gayness just doesn’t happen there. I was informed of this by my host, a 100%, native-born Chinese guy. I don’t know why he told me this but we were eating dinner in a tofu-intensive restaurant at the time. Anyway, the Chinese people eat a lot of tofu and ain’t none of 'em gay. According to my host, anyway.
And they have a communist government there that does not allow capitalism either. Go figure.
