Does Google really strip the plural?

IIRC, Google strips the plural, e. g., moderators is the same as moderator.

But 'tis not true.
The search terms “jukebox” yields different results from “jukeboxes”.

So, my question is:

How can I write my web site to equate the words jukebox and jukeboxes?

Try “jukebox” | “jukeboxes”

The | symbol means OR in Googlese.

It doesn’t strictly equate. “jukebox” get 42,500,000 and “jukebox” | “jukeboxes” gets 45,000,000. But it thoroughly searches both.

Incidentally, you can force Google not to strip the plural by using a + sign right in front of the word.

So searching for +capybaras will not find pages that only contain “capybara”.

Other posters are talking about writing queries. Are you talking about that, or about revising the text of your Web page for better Search Engine Optimization?
