I paid $3.63 at Walmart yesterday for the same. Central California.
ETA: They were up to almost $5 a while back (bird flu, I think) but back down now.
Ahh, OB, “Eat it or wear it!”

To be fair, this is one of the most expensive stores in the city. I don’t shop coupons or bargains any longer, and haven’t since I retired.
I canoed the Boundary Waters in 1985, but not with Outward Bound. I went with a friend from high school, his father, and younger brother. They needed a fourth person to help paddle the second canoe. It was the first extended canoe trip I ever did. Great trip!

Sampling in my town:
Albertson’s - $3.99
Von’s - $5.99
Food Maxx - $4.48
$3.99 for a dozen jumbo eggs at the supermarket today.
And at least at my local Walmart for one particular brand, $49.99 for 70 egg-equivalents of powdered egg.
No, it wasn’t; the pastor of the church I attended at the time, who was also a head of a college ministry, was also a Friend of the Boundary Waters and at that time, it was his 30th-ish trip there. I’d had a semester from hell, and a week off-grid with 8 other people was just what I needed.
