Does he get parental rights?

Yes, I mean the animal that fathered that child with one of the women he abducted!

He is the father. He has probably even played the roll in this child’s life, unfortunately. Even assuming he won’t press for them, will the court terminate them?

Can the court take his house to pay child support?

I assume he cannot have that child forced to visit the prison, right? Right?

Probably, he does have child visitation rights, by default. What he lacks is the capacity to host the child for the visitation, so the point is moot. IANAL, but I suspect child services has to formally hold a hearing, maybe even with a judge, and present documents to him via his lawyers, regarding their intention to revoke his visitation rights. And I suspect he won’t be arguing the point. But for a more minor crime, another person might fight the issue – from their cell, or be brought in in shackles if needed. Funny, but we do have this kooky idea of the rule of law – even for sickos or terrorists. Sometimes with layers of practicality or security that makes the whole thing a messy hypocrisy. Try to get used to that – a messy hypocrisy playing lip service to the rights of icky people.

Just 2¢ about a situation I know about:

I have a friend (seriously!), who has a friend whose child was conceived as the result of a rape. The guy did some time, and once he got out he immediately pursued visitation rights. The court has repeatedly shot him down, but he has never stopped trying. And within another year or so it will be irrelevant because the kid–who, understandably, has never had the slightest inclination in having any kind of relationship with the DNA donor–will have turned 18.
