Does NutraSweet taste like sugar to mice?

I would imagine that it would taste sweet to most mammals that are capable of perceiving sugar as tasting sweet.

I have often wondered if insects mistake it for sugar. (sorry for the hijack)

My experiments indicate that you can’t fool insects with NutraSweet, which, BTW, doesn’t even fool me, ugh, hate the stuff.
