Just imagine rather than watching them as a half-time show instead watching guys dunk basketballs for an hour and a half.
That’s why I have no problem with them being cut.

You think juggling, however adroit, could beat a chicken chaser?
I think Skinner is absolutely terrific. But he does best when he keeps it personal and low key. The more instruments that come in the more he loses his specialness. I’d like to see him sing The Beatles’ In My Life, Elton John’s Your Song or Friends, Dylan’s Make You Feel My love (Brian Ferry version), or Nick Cave’s Into My Arms.
Whatever he sings needs to be very personal and intimate. That’s where you go WOW. The three songs he did far were all good, but IMO the first two were MUCH better for the reasons I’ve stated.
:smack: He already sang Make You Feel My love. And beautifully.
I am sure Skinner is probably a really nice guy.
I just hate Country music for the most part, especially when the country singer sounds like he has a mouth full of grits and mumbles in an accent that can only be understood in rural southern communities with a population under 50.
There is something about him that is depressing - like being around your uncle who lost his wife, his kids, his car, his dog and his fishing pole and wants to tell you about it over and over and over again.
I will just say this to justify my hatred of this show: I will never, never, never, never accept David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osborne, and that other dickweed as the arbitors of America’s talent.
I am not the target audience in as much as I won’t watch most reality shows, but I did catch some of this one night when I was trying to avoid working and it was horrible. There was some chubby guy, dressed in black, who did a Toe Dancing routine, with his toes dressed to look like people. He lay on his back and danced, I guess. The “hair” kept falling off one of his toes and the judges got impatient - as did I. I decided I would rather work.
